Mark D. Cronenwett is a Shareholder in the Appellate, Commercial Litigation, and Negligence & Torts Practice Groups of Cowles & Thompson. Mr. Cronenwett's practice is devoted to the areas of appellate law, commercial litigation, consumer lending, labor and employment, negligence and torts, probate, and real estate law. Mr. Cronenwett's commercial litigation experience has involved the representation of small businesses, as well as the defense of residential mortgage litigation. He also represents clients in will contests and other probate matters. A former staff attorney with the Waco Court of Appeals, Mr. Cronenwett has extensive experience in civil appeals.

Mr. Cronenwett is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is the Treasurer for the Saint Thomas More Society. In September 1998, Mr. Cronenwett presented a program on "Sexual Harassment in Schools" to the Texas Association of School Boards in Houston. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1993, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Education
Mr. Cronenwett received his B.A. degree in English Literature (concentrating in politics) in 1990 from the University of Dallas. He received his J.D. degree in 1993 from Catholic University of America, where he served as President and Secretary of the Guild of Catholic Lawyers from 1991-1993.
