David J. Metzler is a Shareholder of the firm and serves as Chair of the Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Metzler's litigation practice includes representation of commercial interests, and insurance coverage and insurance bad faith issues. He also advises clients on business and corporate law matters, insurance law and entertainment issues. Mr. Metzler also has significant experience in litigating professional liability, personal injury and real estate cases.

Mr. Metzler is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, and Texas Association of Defense Counsel. In 2004, he was elected to the Advisory Council for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Dallas.
Mr. Metzler received his B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1987 and his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1990. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
