Scott P. Hazen has more than thirty years of legal experience, and has successfully defended clients in a broad variety of litigation, including: product liability, toxic/mass tort, personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation.  Scott has represented public, private, and governmental entities, including financial institutions, premises owners, manufacturers, service providers and distributors. Scott has extensive experience handling large dockets and multi-district litigation.  Scott earned his J.D. from The University of Tulsa School of Law in 1986, and his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982.

STEPHEN DRINNON, Of Counsel

Stephen Drinnon is Of Counsel in the general civil and commercial litigation practice groups of Cowles and Thompson.  For 25 years, Stephen has leveraged his CPA and CEO/CFO experience as a lead litigator, successfully defending high-value cases across a range of legal practices. He has handled cases for both the Defense and Plaintiff sides of the bar.  Stephen earned a J.D. with highest honors from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1992, as well as a B.B.A. in Accounting and a B.B.A. in Management from Texas Tech University in 1981.

DORLIN LAFER-SOUSA, Associate

Dorlin Lafer-Sousa is an Associate in the Dallas office, practicing primarily in the areas of civil litigation and civil appeals. Previously, Dorlin served as a briefing attorney for the Honorable Justice Mike Willson, Eleventh District Court of Appeals of Texas.  She received her B.A. in Political Science and English from Wellesley College in 2012, and her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2016. While at SMU, she was a recipient of the Sarah T. Hughes Diversity Scholarship and was Executive Editor of the Science and Technology Law Review, and a winning competitor in the 2015 Thomas Tang Moot Court competition.

JOSHUA KLINCK, Associate

Joshua Klinck maintains a diverse, complex litigation practice prosecuting claims for plaintiffs as well as defending companies and individuals. Joshua obtained a B.A. in Music and Communications from Texas Christian University in 2010, and received his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2012.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and was selected to the 2016 DAYL Leadership class.

CHRISTOPHER LITTELL, Associate

Christopher Littell maintains a general civil and commercial litigation practice in a variety of complex matters. He concentrates mostly on insurance defense, as well as some structured settlement work. He recently handled a matter representing the Plaintiff in work performed on behalf of a municipality.  He obtained a B.A. degree in Economics with High Honors from the University of Texas in 2008, and earned a J.D. degree from Baylor Law School in 2011.
