Cowles & Thompson was a Gold Sponsor of the 6th Annual Real Estate Symposium, held on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at the Hilton Lincoln Centre Hotel. The Annual Real Estate Symposium is sponsored by the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Cowles & Thompson attorneys Richard Barrett-Cuetara and Jennifer L. Owen participated in the Symposium. Rick spoke on "Fraudulent Financing -- Do Not Pass Go, Go To Jail." Jennifer moderated Panel 1 -- "Combining Public Dollars with Private Real Estate Development -- Can It Be A Win-Win?"
