2009 Best Business Lawyer in Dallas: Jim Cowles

Cowles & Thompson, P.C. is pleased to announce that firm co-founder Jim Cowles has earned a spot on D Magazine’s 2009 listing of the Best Business Lawyers in Dallas.
In creating the “Best Business Lawyers” list, D Magazine editors asked attorneys across the city to nominate the lawyers who they consider to be Dallas’ best. A blue-ribbon panel of attorneys assisted the publication’s staff in selecting the final list, which highlights 226 of Dallas’ top lawyers who focus their practices on representing businesses. The complete list will be featured in the July 2009 edition of D Magazine, and will be available throughout the year at www.dmagazine.com.
Mr. Cowles’ represents a wide variety of clients in the areas of commercial litigation, medical malpractice, aviation, professional liability and products liability claims. He has practiced in state and federal courts throughout the United States during more than 45 years as a practicing attorney.
Routinely recognized in D Magazine’s listings of the city’s top attorneys, Mr. Cowles was featured in Texas Lawyer newspaper’s 2007 Go-To Guide as one of the state’s top five personal injury defense lawyers. He also has been named one of the state’s Top 10 attorneys in the annual Texas Super Lawyers listing, and recognized by the Dallas Business Journal in the newspaper’s “Defenders” listing of the city’s top business defense lawyers.
