Jonathan Spigel obtains Good Results for Our Client

Jonathan Spigel secured the voluntary dismissal of a cigarette lighter importer sued when one of its imported lighters was allegedly used by a toddler to start an apartment fire resulting in the deaths of the toddler and his 18-year-old babysitter, and significant burn injuries to an infant also in the apartment at the time of the fire. Jonathan was able to establish that the cigarette lighters met government-required safety standards regarding the child-proof nature of the product.
