In January, Mike Northrup won an appeal before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The case involved a employment discrimination claim by an employee who claimed her employer violated Title VII by terminating her because of her gender, by retaliating against her for complaining of discrimination, and by discriminating against her in her compensation. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of the employer, concluding that she failed to establish a prima facie claim. The Fifth Circuit affirmed the summary judgment on each claim asserted.
