Firm Wins Suit Against Appraisal District

On October 17, 2007, the firm obtained a unanimous jury verdict against the Dallas Central Appraisal District, reversing DCAD's denial of an ad valorem tax exemption filed by the Firm's client, a non-profit charitable organization. The jury found the non-profit charitable organization had an "incomplete improvement" that was under "physical preparation" as defined by the Texas Tax Code. The charitable entity was a veteran's organization.
