Resolution of $27 Million Hotel partnership dispute

In June 2007, Richard Barrett-Cuetara, Melissa J. Pegram and Sim Israeloff successfully resolved a $27 million partnership dispute involving the control, management, and transfer of ownership interests in six hotels branded by three international hotel companies. The complex dispute among fourteen entities and five individuals resulted in the filing of a State District Court lawsuit in Texas, setting aside two settlement agreements entered into during the pendency of the state court litigation, the filing of a Private Arbitration proceeding, and the enforcement of the terms of a third settlement agreement entered into by the parties. In the course of handling this matter, Rick, Melissa and Sim were aided by Dolores Wolfe, Greg Lensing and Michael Northrup in pre-arbitration preparation, legal research and briefing.
