In November 2005, Sim Israeloff, working with co-counsel from the firm of Burke & Mayer in New Orleans, obtained a favorable settlement for their clients Comision Federal Electricidad (the federal electric utility of Mexico) and its casualty insurers for damages they sustained from two catastrophic failures of a gas turbine generator in Valladolid, Mexico. Charlie Frazier of the firm's appellate section participated and successfully defended the clients against several intermediate appellate challenges.
