Shareholder Mike Northrup was recently quoted by Law360 in an article regarding Attorney Immunity.

The Supreme Court of Texas recently ruled unanimously that attorney immunity extends to nonlitigation work.  The decision arose in relation to a 2015 case, Cantey Hanger LLP v. Byrd.  Northrup had filed an amicus brief asking the court to review the Fourteenth Court of Appeals’ ruling – saying its resulting split decision prompted questions about the application of attorney immunity.
