Spotlight: C&T Provides Katrina Relief
In times of loss, the support and assistance provided by Cowles & Thompson firm employees can be overwhelming.
The circumstances following Hurricane Katrina was no exception; C&T employees turned out to donate cash as well as office space to those affected by the disaster.
The firm is providing office space, internet connections, supplies, and support services to three attorneys and one paralegal from New Orleans, who were displaced by the hurricane. The firm also assisted the attorneys in locating temporary housing. By temporarily relocating their practices to Dallas, these attorneys have been able to maintain their practices and continue to serve their clients. They expect to return to their homes at the end of this year.
In addition, Cowles & Thompson employees raised over $5,000 for Katrina relief -- this amount was matched by the firm, and over $11,000 was contributed to the Red Cross.
